 Shenyang No. 1 Machine Tool Works formally started “Action μ”from the 2nd quarter after they normalized part manufacturing quality, investigated and collected statistics of product accuracy, made preparations for technical documents, and made preparations for processing and assembly techniques, relevant tool set up, and detection method in 1st quarter. The purpose of the action was to compress complete machine's geometric accuracy and accuracy of position into new standards and requirements of the enterprise so that the standards for goods would be higher than national ones, product's competitiveness be increased, and globally well-known brand created.
The 2nd quarter was the stage for the Works to implement and try out “Action μ”internally, giving priority to CKS series of conventional type of numerically-controlled machines. They tried out accuracy of compression in a mature workshop, analyzed exposed problems, and took relevant measures for improvement to push implementation of the action. Since the 3rd quarter all products leaving factory have followed compressed standards so that complete machine's geometric accuracy and accuracy of position are higher than national ones, starting from the main manufacturing workshop to part assembly and final assembly according to design and technical requirements.
